Council offers Property Maintenance services to assist local residents to keep their homes maintained and safe.
The service is available Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays and weather permitting.
Residents are required to be home on the day of the Property Maintenance booking and depending on their needs assessment, tasks may include:
- Changing of smoke alarms
- Changing of light globes
- Cleaning of gutters and spouting
- Window cleaning
- Lawn/grass mowing – this service is strictly limited and is not a regular service. This service should not replace private arrangements of general lawn maintenance/mowing.
Prior to any home modifications, such as ramp and rail installations, an assessment needs to be completed by an Occupational Therapist from the Maryborough District Health Service team.
Contact My Aged Care on 1800 200 422 to arrange an assessment.
Residents must use their own rubbish bins for waste removal or should contact a private service provider to remove rubbish from their premises.
