Family Day Care

Council's Family Day Care Co-ordination unit is based at the Goldfields Family Centre.

There are currently four educators delivering the Family Day Care service in the Central Goldfields Shire.

Council’s Family Day Care Scheme offers quality childcare that is based in a home environment. The service can look after children from birth to 12 years of age.

All educators registered with the scheme are closely monitored and must comply with regulatory requirements outlined by the government. They are resourced and supported by the Council.

The Family Day Care Service is licensed by the Department of Education and Training under the direct governance of the Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority in accordance with the Education and Care Services National Law Act 2010 and Education and Care Services National Regulations 2011.

The Family Day Care service is flexible. Educators work different hours depending on the needs of the families in their care.

This can range from early mornings, late evenings, weekends, overnight care and emergency care.

Eligible families are entitled to the Child Care Subsidy to assist families with accessing affordable chid care. Further information is available at Australian Government - Department of Human Services or by calling 13 61 50.
