Derby Road enhancement project
We’re planning to beautify the medium strip along Derby Road, Maryborough – between Lean Street (Goldfields Reservoir) and Carramar Nursery.
As one of Maryborough’s main entry points, the project will make this precinct more visually pleasing to visitors and complement the median strip located at the High Street end of Derby Road.
The project involves the planting of 30 Japanese Elm trees, with Tuscan stone filling the space between the trees. Irrigation will also be installed as part of the project.
The project, funded as part of the Council’s 2020/21 Budget, will take around two weeks to complete and is expected to be carried out in May.
Residents wanting more information about the project can visit www.centralgoldfields.vic.gov.au/haveyoursay or contact Council’s Manager Operations Amber Robinson on 5461 6702 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
We’re looking for more volunteers to support our Meals On Wheels program. If you have one hour or two to spare once a month, once a fortnight, or just now and then, Council would love to hear from you.
