Resealing program to commence

Did you know we have 524 kilometres of sealed (bitumen roads) in our Shire?

Sealed roads typically have a 15-year life span so, every year we allocate funding to keep them maintained.

In the 2022/23 Council Budget, $820,000 was budgeted for our annual resealing program.

The works, due to commence mid-January, will be carried out by Fulton Hogan and will take around two to three weeks to complete (weather dependant).

The list of roads to be re-sealed are determined from our Asset Management System, which prioritises reseals based on the condition data we have for all local roads.

Any property owners impacted by the works will be notified prior to the start of the works. Minor delays will be expected during the works.

You can view the list of roads here www.centralgoldfields.vic.gov.au/resealingprogram2023
