Business Permits

Starting or growing your business

Before you start or change your business, you may need to check whether you need permission from Council or other providers.  Some businesses require permits from the Council, such as a planning permit, food registration, health registration or outdoor trading permits.

Not sure about which permits you are likely to need?

Central Goldfields Shire Council has designed a self-assessment tool that will help you understand what permits your business may require and what triggers each permit.

Business Permit Self-Assessment Tool

It takes less than 5 minutes and will give you clarity about the next steps. We encourage you to complete it and send it to our Business Permit Support team so that we can give you further support.
