Lost or missing animals

The Central Goldfields Shire Pound is Council-owned and operated and cares for hundreds of lost and surrendered animals every year, including cats, dogs and various livestock including sheep, pigs, horses, poultry and cattle.

Animals are cared for at the Central Goldfields Shire Pound while Council staff attempt to find their owners. If no owner can be found, animals are assessed for their health and temperament, and then made available for adoption.

The Central Goldfields Shire Pound is located at 70 Burns Street, Maryborough and is open by appointment.

If your pet is lost of missing you can the Council on 03 5461 0610 during business hours or visit the Central Goldfields Rehoming Facebook page.
