Optional Green Waste Service

1. What is Council's Optional Green Waste Collection Service?

Central Goldfields Shire offers all residents in the urban areas of Dunolly, Talbot, Carisbrook and Maryborough an optional green waste and household organics collection service.

Residents can dispose of their green waste and organic household waste via a 240 litre bin (green lid) which is collected on the first and third Friday of the month.

The collected waste is then processed into high quality bagged compost.  As a bonus, each participant is entitled to one bag of compost free of charge per month, from the Carisbrook Transfer Station, when available.

How to register for the Service if you are a landholder?

If you are a landholder and you wish to request the optional green waste collection service you will need to complete the Green-Waste-Service.pdf(PDF, 157KB) form and email it to mail@cgoldshire.vic.gov.au

As this service includes a change to the charges on the rates notice, the rate payer signature is required. If you are unable to access the form, please call Council on 03 5461 0610 to request that a form be mailed to you.

2. How to register for the Service if you are tenant?
