Community Satisfaction Survey

Interviewing for Council’s annual Community Satisfaction Survey has now commenced.

Through until the end of September, your household might receive a call from National Field Service – who will ask you a range of questions about the different services Council provides.

The information you provide will help us to identify ways to provide improvement or more effective service delivery to our residents.

Your details and individual responses are confidential, and we appreciate your valuable feedback.

Parking in Maryborough's CBD

In recent times our local business community and service providers have been calling on us to enforce parking restrictions in Maryborough’s CBD.

They’ve seen an increasing number of motorists parking in the CBD precinct all day, which has meant potential customers haven’t been able to access time-limited car parking spaces when doing their shopping or accessing services.

Since early August, Council’s Local Laws team have been patrolling the Maryborough CBD.

They’ve been issuing warnings to motorists who overstay in time-designated spaces and who use disabled bays when not permitted to do so.

This month, fines will be issued for those not complying with restrictions.

This approach complements the Maryborough Police, who have recently been enforcing parking in loading zones and no standing areas.

We urge community members to support these changes, which will increase the turnover of car parking spaces and better support our local business community.

ENGAGEMENT OPPORTUNITIES

Help shape the Shire's play spaces

Play spaces are more than just equipment; they are the areas we splash in, trees we sit under, fields we roll down and flower beds we hide behind.

We want families, carers, children and young people of all cultures, identities and abilities to use and enjoy the play spaces in our Shire.

Through our Places for Play Strategy, we are looking to ensure they continue to meet the changing needs of our community both now and into the future.

This initial community engagement aims to understand what play space locations are being used, what design elements (equipment, trees etc.) are missing, and what new play space areas or designs the community wishes to have.
